China Facts!

China is famous for their  

• Great Wall

China has got the world record of being the biggest country in the WORLD with a population of 1,336,718,015 as of mid-2011 so as you can imagine it is very big in 2012 if it was that big in 2011. In 2012 the population is now 1.3 billionHere is a picture of their flag. On their flag there is 4 stars in a shape of a crescent, there is also a big star next to it.  

Here are some facts that I researched

• The official name of China is THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA.
• The Chinese name is "Zhong Guo", which means the "Middle Kingdom". Since ancient times, it was believed that China was at the center of the universe.  
• The area of China is 9.5 million square KM, China is the fourth laRgest country in the world.
• China speaks the language of MANDARIN.
• The red background means the revolution and the blood of those who died during the civil war and the Japanese invasion.
• There are Five yellow stars, a large one that represents the Communist Party and the four smaller ones that surround it represent the four different classes of society.
• China’s capital is Beijing.

From the start of the Olympics to the 2nd of August China had got 31 medals and it is not even over.

MY NEWS REPORT ON THE 2012 OPENING CEREMONY:)
Hello I am Felicity Johnstone and I am your Kiwi Kids news Reporter. Today I am here to report to you guys about the spectacular Opening Ceremony.

To start the night off we had a performance showing what the olden days were like in London. After a nice start of lovely families, it all turns into work, work and even more work. With all of the men hard at work and the ladies washing the clothes.



Then The queen strides in very poshley with James Bond following, they both take their seat and watch the performances. Then there was a fabulous range of countries children in choir singing in a magnificent tune. After that spectacular display there was a big group of glowing lights come into the center and make a smiley face. It ended up being there were a whole lot of hospital beds in the center of the stadium, with a different range of ages and sizes of children.  

With the idea from J.K. Rowling, her characters came alive, there was Voldemort from Harry Potter, the evil lady from 101 Dalmatians. Then with a great big BANG, fireworks boomed in every different direction. Everyone around me were blown away in their own dreams. When I look around me all I can see is ‘ FLASH, FLASH’ and even more FLASHES. Their eyes looked like they were sparking wildly in excitement, with all of the fireworks reflecting onto their eyes.

Then there was a hilarious performance from Mr.Bean, he had a dream that he one a beach run. Trust me I don’t think that would ever happen in real life. Now would you look at that here come the Torch Bearers who will light the 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES CAULDRON. As they run around the track and pass the TORCH to each other. Here they come all ready to light the amazing OLYMPIC CAULDRON.

The the crowd all say ”Wow,” they are now lighting the Cauldron. As soon as it gets lit the whole place feels like we have just been hit with a bomb. All you can hear is cheering, the flashing of the cameras. The cauldrons fire was outstanding, it was so hot, I would have to say that I was sweating from up here. Once again I look around me and see the fire in the cauldron reflecting in their glazed eyes.
Then the Queen takes a stand and speaks to the people of the world, “ I declare the 2012 Olympic Games are now open “
The crowd stands and cheers their loudest.

My favourite part would have to be the lighting of the cauldron. 
The funniest part was when Mr.Bean’s spectacular performance.

My imagination ( The Distress Call )

Dear Sage this is what I imagine myself in my head:) I hope you enjoy!

Just 3 weeks ago I was out on an adventure. I saw a pixie, peek out of a big scary cave.

I was fascinated, so much that I had to adventure into the what seemed ‘ a big and scary cave’ It was actually a fairy wonderland filled with millions of them. As I walk in I notice that it turns from good little fairies to evil bunnies.

The bears back at base were talking about the island’s new rules and what they need to do about me, who apparently won’t stop chattering about how they are not caring for their land. Then with a great big ‘SQUAWK‘ they heard me do my ‘Distress Call’.... but with no surprise they decided to leave me and carry on with what they call a ‘meeting’.

I was lonely and tied up with all of the bunnies crowding me. The surroundings were really odd it was like a little girl's dream room filled with evil villains dressed in little pink tutus. I was confused.

Why were they dressed like that?

Just as I was about to send out my distress call again they stuffed a bunny type dummy in my mouth.They obviously thought that I was the baby bait  they ordered, but no I was just a little adventures carrot who is very eager to get out of their princess palace.

Just as night falls the evil team place me, the distressed little carrot in the water just sitting there floating towards base. Which was where the pigs and all of the other animals were hiding.

The deer notices me and goes to save me.  ( Just as the bunnies had planed. )  

The deer manages to save me while zapping the evil bunnies, until they turn into food.. All of the animals see that the evil bunnies are actually ruining their land. So all of the animals start to act fast and make those bunnies were food. Once they had defeated the villains in tutus, they celebrated with the little fairies and threw away every little bit of the evil bunnies stuff and made the fairies magical wonderland even bigger.

In the end the bears finally decided to let me be in charge of the land and make it even better, which worked out really well, but the fairies thanked me by changed me into a blue bunny rabbit who loves to play soccer.

My first blog is my blog that I made last year with my friend Emily. It is just a little way to show people what  I have been up to. It is almost like a diary. I like to visit this blog regularly to do a new post which I still need to do. I need to keep updating it more often.  I can connect to this blog because I own it.

This is an awesome as website to go on, when you go and watch my video you can make your own. When the video is finished you can make your own by clicking the play button or you can replay it by clicking review button.

My 3 Favourite Websites

 

This is my first favourite website, it is my blog. The reason I chose this is because I love doing blog posts for the rest of the world to see what I am doing through out the year. Also I think that it is great to have a class all with blogs to share there learning. It helps me feel proud for the work I do as I am able to put it on my blog and have other people post positive comments on my work it is also a way for me to share my learning with my mum and dad. My second one is Fantage, it is a great website to play on you can dress up and have your other friends go online and talk with you. You can play heaps of really cool games like: The fashion show you can also play some great games at the school ( they are maths, spelling and some more cool school subjects. ) There is much more games to play and more stuff to do that is really fun. You can also get two pets, unless your become a member and you can get heaps more of them. This is a safe website where you won't get bullied or if you feel as though you are getting bullied  I recommend you should get a Fantage person.  If you would like one go to this link.  

 

My third and last favourite website is Fotobabble, it is a great website because you have an instant embed code and it is really cool to have a talking photo. It is quick and easy to do just follow these steps:  

• Upload a photo to the website
• Record your voice 
• Play with the background and the colour of the picture
• Get the embed code from the right side of the page
• Put the embed code onto your blog and post it to the web to show what you did         

I would rate it 10/10 because it is a very easy to do and your speech comes out nice and clear.
